When he's sent to Latham House, a boarding school for sick teens, Lane thinks his life may as well be over. But when he meets Sadie and her friends - a group of eccentric troublemakers - he realises that maybe getting sick is just the beginning. That illness doesn't have to define you, and that falling in love is its own cure. Extraordinary Means is a darkly funny story about true friendships, ill-fated love and the rare miracle of second chances.
I give it - 5/5
My review - Why have you done this to me Robyn?!
This book made me laugh, sigh and cry a lot and I loved every second of it.
This story is about Lane, he has been diagonsed with TB, he is sent to Latham House, a place for teens who have TB. Lane thinks his life is over, he was doing really well in school, had a girlfriend and had already decided what college he wanted to go too.
Then we have Sadie, she's been at Latham for over a year. Has a few friends and usually likes to break the rules. Her and Lane know each other from summer camp from a few years ago.
Each chapter switches from Lane and Sadie's POV. I really loved reading about both of their thoughts on each other, Latham, and just everything in general.
This is a story about two teens, who are both going through a difficult time, with people on the outside thinking their monsters but they have each other.
This is such a beautiful story and I didn't put it down once, after I finished it I kind of held it to my chest for a good ten minutes, it affected me that much.
This story is a beautiful tragedy of two teens suffering and finding each other through it. They both made me laugh but mostly made me cry.
Robyn has written such a fantastic book that I think fans of John Green will adore.
This has became one of my favourite books of 2015 and I just can't stop thinking about it.
