Theodore Finch is fascinated by death, and he constantly thinks of ways he might kill himself. But each time, something good, no matter how small, stops him.
Violet Markey lives for the future, counting the days until graduation, when she can escape her Indiana town and her aching grief in the wake of her sister's recent death.
When Finch and Violet meet on the ledge of the bell tower at school, it's unclear who saves whom. And when they pair up on a project to discover the 'natural wonders' of their state, both Finch and Violet make more important discoveries: It's only with Violet that Finch can be himself - a weird, funny, live-out-loud guy who's not such a freak after all. And it's only with Finch that Violet can forget to count away the days and start living them. But as Violet's world grows, Finch's begins to shrink. How far will Violet go to save the boy she has come to love?
I give it - 5/5
My review - This book, just THIS BOOK WAS SO AMAZING! After I finished reading it, I sat there for about ten minutes holding and stroking the book it affected me that much.
It was just so wonderful and heartbreaking.
I love a book that as soon as you start reading you are gripped from the first page and that's what happened to me with this book.
I really think Jennifer has written such a beautiful story that I will not forget. Also how the sticky notes on the front have a reference in the book and it just made the story even more wonderful.
I admit I cried, and you know a book is brilliant when it has you crying because off all the emotions in it.
When a book makes you cry you can tell it was amazingly written, which All The Bright Places was.
I really liked the main two characters, Violet and Finch. Also how each chapter was from one of their perspectives which gave the story more depth and made it more interesting to see what each character was thinking or feeling.
I really think fans of John Green would adore this book as much as I did.
BUT HAVE TISSUES NEXT TO YOU.
Wonderful, brilliant book!
