When life goes off-key, change your tune. RyLee's career is over. After winning a national TV talent show and becoming a teen pop sensation, his fame and success has quickly been followed by addiction, media scrutiny, and career suicide. After a brief spell in rehab, 18-year-old Ryan has some rethinking to do. His stepdad - music promoter and self-appointed creator of 'RyLee' - wants him at home and in school, and under his thumb. But after an argument descends into violence, Ryan decides to run away from his old life, his failed career, and his dysfunctional family. When he meets the stunningly witty but distinctly average guitar-player Toni almost directly outside his front door, the opportunity to start afresh seems too good to pass up. Before long, he has arrived in a new city, joined Toni's amazingly talented band, and reinvented himself under the name 'Cal'. For the first time in his life Ryan has friends around him, he's playing the music he's always wanted to play, and - despite living in a hostel, busking for his wages, and living under a false identity - he's finally happy. But just when Ryan feels like he has truly started over, his past begins to catch up with him.

I give it - 4/5
My review - I really enjoyed this book! A story of a boy who is trying to find who he is. How a famous teenage career goes down the drain. He's a school drop-out and takes drugs.
Now Ryan wants to get his life back on track and it starts to happen when he meets Toni. Toni is in a band and so he goes with her, away from his family, to Belfest to find himself. He knows his life is a bit poop but he is willing to start anew and become who he use to be and fall in love with music again.
This was a really great story. Very gripping from the beginning as you want to know what happened to Ryan and where this story is taking him.
We follow the story of Ryan and his new friends as he is finding himself and distancing himself from his past and the person who basically owned him when he was Rylee.
I really enjoyed reading his story. How, winning a singing competition and becoming famous as a teenager sent him down the wrong the path, how he is so willing to change it and fight for what he wants and follow his dreams without anyone holding him back.
A really enjoyable story with a lot of strong messages about finding yourself and staying true yourself and not letting anyone get in the way. I'm not a big fan of singing competitions and this was a great story on the life of winner afterwards and I think everyone should give it a read! You will just fly right through it and love every second of it like I did.
