My review - what a fun, heartfelt book.
I was so excited to be asked to be part of the blog tour and give this book a read and review as this sounded like something I would really enjoy and I did! It was so fun but also had it's heartfelt moments. Add in a brilliant best friend and a whole lot of drama, this book is the perfect summer read.
In this book we follow Jenny. She has had her life planned out since she was a child. She always wanted to get married by 30. She is in a relationship with Christopher and on her birthday she thinks this is it, that he is finally going to propose and that her plan will come together.
What she doesn't realise is that he wasn't going to and now she's upset. Her best friend Isla suggest they have a girls weekend in Vegas and Christopher suggest a break. With her bags packed she goes of to Vegas hoping to have a nice relaxing time and forget about Christopher.
But, what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas. One night, they both get really drunk and Jenny meets Jackson. Before she knows it, she's back home and he suddenly appears and she remembers everything from that night, that they got married and she has no idea what to do.
Will Jenny stay with Christopher because he is the safe option even though her mind goes to Jackson? Who laughs at her jokes and tells her she's worth it?
Jenny is about to find out a lot about herself in this book. She thinks she has to follow her plan to have a happy life, even it means she wouldn't be happy and keep wondering what if. With a crazy best friend who is loving every moment of this, and some work colleagues who just like to get in her business. Jenny is about to realise something about herself and it may just change her plans for the future forever.
This book waas just so wonderful and I didn't put down once as I just wanted to know what was going to happen and then I wanted my own Jackson. I would love a story about Isla as well as her story sounded really crazy and a whole lot of fun.
Jenny was a great character to follow as she always wanted the future she planned for herself as child. With things about to change she doesn't know how to handle them but, she is willing to take a chance.
An amazing book from Melissa and I cannot wait to see what she writes next!
