Today I want to review the Makeup Revolution palette in collaboration with youtuber Sophdoesnails. I started watching Soph earlier this year I adore her videos and her make up tutorials. I was so excited to hear she was bringing out her own palette with one of my favourite make up brands. The eyeshadow palette is £10 which I think is a great price for this amazing palette that also has a huge mirror?! She also has a highlighter palette, that I sadly still haven't gotten but, I will soon as I love highlighters and her one just looks so beautiful and it's only £8!
There are 24 shades and there is a great range! There are warm shades, bright colours just everything. We have matte and shimmer shades. The shimmer shades are beautiful. They are so pigmented that I am in love with how bright and beautiful they are. I just couldn't get over how great this palette was. Like she said in her video you could use this all year round and I am excited to use the green shimmer shade at Christmas. I had a little mess around with it and the colours are really easy to blend. I used Pancakes as a transition colour then I put Strawberry Sweets on the inner and the outer corner of my eye, just leaving a blank space in the middle. To deepen up the corners I added Danger, which is this beautiful dark red that I am excited to use again. For the middle I really wanted to add some shimmer so, I used Sparks Fly which you can use without adding a bit of setting spray to your brush to apply it. I sometimes like to use my finger to apply shimmers as I feel they show up a little bit more but, this colour was just intense.
(not the best pictures and ignore my eyebrows as they need doing but whatevers)
Look at the colours! I am obsessed with this palette. Ever since I bought it, it has been my go to palette. It has a range of different colours and I am excited to try and create some different eyeshadow looks soon!
Well done Soph on a brilliant palette! Cannot wait to try the highlighter palette as I am excited to cover my whole face in it...
Have you tried the palette yet? What did you think?
